50s Christian Dior Silk Gown & Shawl | XS

Rare vintage early 1950s Christian Dior demi couture pink silk strapless gown with matching asymmetrical shawl. Tailored, darted button front bodice with sharply nipped in waist and dramatic peplum with tiny front pockets. Mimics a layered look over the attached column skirt with pleated back swag. Interior boned bodice; hidden metal zipper closure. Comes with matching asymmetrical shawl with gathers for one shoulder; meant to drape elegantly off the other shoulder and a matching ribbon tie. Very rare authentic early Dior piece!

Excellent pre-owned condition - a few scattered age related issues but nothing that detracts from the beauty of the gown: faint lightening to the underarm areas, a light mark on the side bust over the dart, and a little edge wear to the sharp seam creases.
