This model is a low-voltage, forward-acting speed controller intended for single-actuator systems. It provides stable isochronous speed control or droop control for load sharing applications. Unlike some other 2301A variants, the 9907-038 does not include a deceleration ramp, making it suitable for systems where external ramping or mechanical damping is used.
The 2301A platform is widely deployed in power generation, marine propulsion, and industrial mechanical drive systems where reliability and deterministic speed control are critical.
Control Functions
The 9907-038 processes speed feedback from a magnetic pickup and compares it with a reference speed setpoint. Based on the selected control mode, it outputs a proportional actuator current signal to regulate fuel or steam flow.
Isochronous mode maintains constant speed under varying loads, while droop mode enables stable parallel operation and load sharing among multiple units.
