The Scarlett dress is a refined and elegant gala dress. By varying the length and colour you can create your own dream dress. You can also make a cute summer dress or party dress.

This pattern contains written text with pictures and crochet diagrams for clarification.

Size

For size 36-40 I would recommend the S/M pattern of the Scarlett dress.

For size 42-46 I would recommend the L/XL pattern of the Scarlett dress.

Difficulty

This crochet pattern is for the intermediate to advanced crocheter (7/10).

Stitches used

Chain, slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet, front post double crochet, back post double crochet.

Supplies

Yarn: Scheepjes Maxi Sugar Rush 50 gram = 280 meters. The amount of yarn you need depends on the desired length of the dress. For a knee length skirt you will need about 20 balls of yarn. For a floor-length dress, the amount can be up to 40 balls of yarn.

You can also use other yarn of 100% mercerized cotton, 50 grams = 280 meters. Needle thickness 1.25-1.5 mm.

Crochet hooks: crochet hook 2,5 mm, crochet hook 3 mm, crochet hook 4 mm, crochet hook 6 mm.

Other supplies: Stitch markers, darning needle, a zipper or buttons to close the dress, sewing thread and sewing needle, beads to decorate the belt. Optional: lining fabric.
