Constructed of a silvered zink alloy, the obverse bearing a central raised German national eagle clutching an HJ insignia, within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “BLUT UND EHRE” (“BLOOD AND HONOUR”), the reverse with a bar and swivel attachment prongs, marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and maker code “M4/42” for Hermann Aurich, Dresden, also bearing the remnants of an RZM label, measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), with loss of finish and minor oxidation evident, in very fine condition.
