This collaborative product unites the expertise of two renowned pottery studios: the prestigious Rikou Kiln, celebrated for its high-end earthenware, and the Yuzuriha Workshop, specializing in Akazu-yaki pottery.
The lid of this distinctive piece showcases an intricately hand-painted floral design by the Yuzuriha Workshop, covering the surface seamlessly and without gaps. In a realm dominated by often understated earthenware designs, it emerges as a rare and vibrant creation, exuding a unique sense of beauty and radiance.
The lid also features delicate cracks on the glazed surface, a characteristic known as "kannyuu." Conversely, the main body is a testament to the craftsmanship of the acclaimed Rikou Kiln, showcasing their prowess in crafting high-end handmade clay pots. Despite its size, it remains exceptionally lightweight due to the techniques of hand molding and meticulous refinement, setting it apart from mass-produced molded pots.
To ensure versatile use over an open flame, the bottom surface has been carefully crafted to be flat. This collaborative masterpiece truly sets itself apart from conventionally molded pots, offering the convenience of use on direct flame.

DIRECTIONS OF USE:
Seasoning a Clay pot
Claypots are pourous and can stains, odor, or mold. Please season the claypot with the instructions below before use:
1. Fill the clay pot with clean water (about 80% full), and bring the water to boil.
When the water is boiling, lower the heat, put wheat flour mixed with water into the pot, and mix it well.
2. Simmer over a low heat for about five minutes, turn off the heat, and leave the pot as it is until it has cooled down.
3. Wash and clean the pot, then dry it before use.
Care and maintenace
After each use, please dry well and keep the claypot pot in a dry space to prevent mold or mildew.
For the first 5 uses, please avoid leaving food and ingredients inside the pot after cooking. (This will help to season your pot for many years of use.)
Please also avoid using curry, kimchi or similar seasoned foods for the first 5 times of use. (This will help to prevent discoloration and odors from lingering in the future.)
Avoid soaking the earthen pot in detergent water. Wash and rinse only.
