Choose your base yarn type. Full details, fiber content, yardage, and photos of all yarn bases can be found on the Yarn Bases Page. If you need any help choosing a base or have any questions at all, just ask!
- Full skeins are 100 gm (3.5 oz) for all skeins except for the Kid Mohair Silk Lace and Suri Alpaca Silk which are 50 gm skeins (1.75 oz).
- *Mini skeins* are 20 gm (.7 oz) and are available for yarns marked with an asterisk (*).
- Rovings are available in 4 oz. balls.
Please Note: the Lux Single DK, Suri Alpaca Silk and Kid Mohair Silk Lace take the dye in a softer, slightly lighter hue than the other bases due to the fiber content.
My recipes are carefully recorded and reproducible, however since each batch is hand-created individually, there may be variations from batch to batch - please order enough for your project for best match. Alternating skeins while knitting is a good practice to blend variations between skeins, should you wish to do so. All yarns are hand dyed by Pancake and Lulu in my dedicated studio with professional, permanent and light-fast acid fiber dyes.
The sheep that supply us with our wool are ethically sourced and 100% non-mulesed. We believe that mulesing is a cruel practice to the animals for the benefit of the wool farmer. You can be confident that PLY yarn and fiber is mulesing-free.
