Constructed of a silvered bronze alloy, the obverse consisting of a classic one-sided Jeugdstorm-style gull in mid-flight, the reverse retaining both of its attachment prongs, unmarked, measuring 43 mm (w) x 58 mm (h), the obverse retaining virtually all of its original finish with intentional patination of the feathers to provide an effective imitation of light and shadows, a scarce example of an insignia intended for use on the Karpoets (Jeugdstorm overseas-style cap) in extremely fine condition.
