xvintage 1950s dress,
OLDRIC ROYCE, black cutout fit and flare cocktail party evening dress
The only examples I came across were in the Hillwood Museum which was owned by Marjorie Merriwether Post and the dresses were her collection. Oldric Royce (Oldric Rosenbaum) was her go to designer.
This dress is a true work of art. All the layers on the skirt are cut out and placed perfectly. The layer peeking through the cutouts is a nude tulle.
Cutouts also accent the fitted bodice.
Cap sleeves.
Side zipper.
Full circle skirt.
Lining is the nude colored tulle.
Truly amazing.
Excellent condition.
