Rockaway Surf HD Rods

The new Rockaway HD Surf Rods are designed to be fished by the discriminate angler who is looking for the perfect surf rod. These well-built and competitively priced rods are built on a light and responsive 24/30-ton, low resin carbon rod blank that was designed to load up and cast for great distances. These blanks also feature Okuma’s UFR-Ultimate Flex Reinforcement tip technology. This process blends unidirectional fiber over 24-ton carbon in the extended tip section of the rod to increase lifting strength and power by as much as 400%. This technology provides for the ultimate in strength without sacrificing sensitivity.

With six total spinning models within the Rockaway HD family, you are covered from 9-foot all the way to 12-foot applications. The following lengths and actions are available. 9-foot Medium, 9-foot 6-inch Medium Heavy, 10-foot 6-inch Medium, 10-foot 6-inch Medium Heavy, 11-foot Medium Heavy, and 12-foot Heavy action.

What separates the Rockaway HD from the standard Rockaway are the components. The Rockaway HD features the 24/30-ton low resin carbon blank as well as the UFRII tip technology. The 70/30 tip over butt ferrule connection gives this rod a true one-piece feel that you can really load up and cast as far as possible. They also feature deep pressed SeaGuide XQH 316-Stainless Steel guide frames with Zirconium inserts for both braided and monofilament lines. Okuma’s Double Locking reel seat really locks your reel in place for extra security. Rockaway HD comes standard with a minimal grip with a textured shrink tube for all day, long casting comfort while out on the beach.
