This vigorous variety of corn can reach heights of up to 20 feet!

Heights of 12 to 16 feet is typical but these plants may reach 18 to 20 feet with excellent weather and care! When the plants are 4 to 5 feet tall suckers should be removed from the base. Soil should be mounded around the stalk, as new roots will grow from each ring or joint helping to stabilize the plant in the wind and allow for better growth. Skyscraper Corn is the best quality towering corn seed we have ever had with plump fully mature kernels and is known as the world's greatest yielder; up to 50 tons per acre. Seeds come with growing instructions. 105 to 115 days.

Seed Starting:

Growing Zone: 4 to 8

Direct Sow: After all danger of frost.

Germination: 7-15 days with soil temps of 65-75°F.

Depth: 3/4"-1"

Light: Full Sun

Spacing: 8"-12" apart with rows 24"-36" apart. Alternate Spacing: 3-4 seeds can be planted in hills 18"-24" apart. Plant at least 4 rows for best pollination and wind resistance.  Sweet corn needs isolation from other types of corn.

Directions:

Direct sow in full sun at a depth of 3/4" - 1" once the soil temperatures have reached 60 degrees F. 

Spacing: 8 - 12" apart with rows 24" - 36" apart or plant 3-4 seeds in hills spaced 18" - 24" apart.  Plant at least 4 rows for best pollination.  

For optimal growth, mix 5 lbs of Pumpkin Power per 100 feet of row when planting.
