The Gnawer of Roots, the Ancient Wyrm coils deep beneath Yggdrasil, the vast World Tree whose branches stretch across the heavens and whose roots anchor every realm, from the halls of gods to the lands of mortals and the depths of the dead.

Hidden in the shadows below, Níðhöggr feeds endlessly on those roots and discarded souls of the dead. It's hunger, a slow, relentless corruption. As it gnaws it threatens the very structure that holds the Nine Realms together. Embodying decay, entropy, and the quiet unraveling of all things.
