February 13th - Valentines Riso Zine workshop

FRIDAY FEBRUARY 13th  6pm to 9pm 

In this group workshop, we want you to spill your heart out! (As much as you're comfortable with!) Whether you're getting over a situationship, working through intense feelings, or crazy about someone, it's time to put pen to paper and share your experience visually.

With the help of prompts during the session, you and other participants will create a page in a collective zine all about love and lessons learned. You can think of your concept beforehand to save time and avoid feeling pressured to come up with ideas on the spot. We will then separate the colours of each illustration and print the zine. Everyone will leave with a copy. The goal is to create a space to share and learn about Riso!

What this workshop covers

• Time to create and exchange with other participants
• How to design a two-color page from a pencil drawing on paper
• How to separate colors digitally in Photoshop and prepare files for a two-color print
• A quick summary of how the printer works
• How to cut and fold a zine

• Duration: 3 hours
• Maximum capacity: 10 people
• Materials provided: Paper, colored pencils, zines
• Location: Mile End – the address will be sent via email after reservation

There are no refunds, but the workshop can be rescheduled to a time that works for both of us.
